Duck hunts take place in the late afternoons on ponds or marshes. Some hunts may be done in fields, yet we prefer to hunt the birds going back to the water. We use Higdon three-quarter body shells, flocked field decoys and robos. On water, magnum Avian X and Texas rigged floaters. Although there are over 13 breeds of ducks, the most popular amungst the hunters are the Northern Mallard, Gadwell, Pintail, Widgen, Blue and Green-Winged Teal Redheads. Others include Canvas back, Goldeneye, Scaup, Bufflehead, etc.
